Book Review: Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

Spoiler-free review 🙂

This book is beautifully written , inspiring and amazing. It follows a girl named Melinda Sordino who suddenly become mute after the incident that happened at the senior party in summer. What could possibly happened with her that makes her school life change? Or her entire life for that matter? Could she find her voice back?

I love Melinda’s sarcastic thoughts. She could make me laugh and sad at the same time with her with snarky thoughts towards her friends, teachers and family.

Kudos to Laurie for brought up such a sensitive topic, especially these day. This book has strong message and deep meaning. I would recommend this book to everyone.

I also loved the movie. You guys should check it out 😉

P.S: Thanks to Rachelle who sent me this book.
