Hey, guys! How is it going?
Can you believe that it’s February already?
In this post I would like to share with you my bookish resolutions for 2016. I’ve never really set my goals in fear of getting stressed over it. But you know what? There’s no harm trying something new right? So here is my bookish resolution 🙂
Read More Books From Indonesian Authors.
Back when I was still in Middle – High school, I read books mostly from Indonesian Authors. Nowadays though – ever since I discover Twilight – I rarely read any books from Indonesian Author—Sitta Karina is an exception. I’m ashamed to admit that. As someone who had a dream to become a writer, I had to support other fellow writer, and in order to do that why not support local writer first, huh?
Lower My Goodreads Reading Challenge.
Two years in a row I set my Goodreads Reading Challenge to 100 books. Last year I was so stressed out (in life general) so two months before the year ends, I realized I still far way behind in reading challenge, it’s stressing me even further. So I find a shortcut how to finish that ASAP. I ended up reading graphic novel issues instead of reading them as a volume (if you follow me on Goodreads, you would understand what I mean. Pmsl) or read a short book. So this year I decided to set my goals to 50books, slowing down a lil bit.
Do More Book Review.
My dream job—besides becoming a writer—is getting paid for reading a book. My difficulty of reviewing a book is to review it critically, sometimes it’s hard when I really like the book all I can say is “AFDHSFCSHGHAGAHJSK READ THIS BOOK!” and then when I hate it I ended up cursing the author. And I really, really trying to avoid that. I wanna become Professional Books Reviewer 😉
I need to read more books other than YA genre. That’s it. There is nothing wrong with YA genre nonetheless—I will forever read YA let’s be real—I just want to read more diversely, to open my mind a bit more.
Until next time,
